"1st" Time Moments!

The kids have been experiencing so many things for the first time, which means inevitably so are we! Kate's vocabulary this week has grown by leaps and bounds. Just this week she started saying, "Happy, kitty, monkey, Kate, blue, apple, and ride." She is determined to do everything on her own, which includes feeding herself. She is trying so hard to manipulate her utensils! It seems as though she's favoring her left hand. Another big first for Kate was PIGTAILS! OMG how stinking cute does she look with her hair like that?! We went out to dinner tonight for a belated birthday celebration for Matt. She was all dressed up in her pretty outfit from Aunt Julie and Uncle Jeff. She already has a sassy little walk, a personality that goes on for miles and she can dance on command. HHHMMMM wonder who she takes after? hahahahaha. We are really enjoying her these days.

Jack has had an incredible past few weeks. He lost his 1st front tooth today. It was hanging on by a thread for days and Matt had had it. Jack would only let me pull it out since I'm a nurse! He doesn't apparently realize that pulling teeth makes me queezy. So the toothfairy will come by tonight to leave him a little treasure.
Jack is in the "Running Club" at school. He runs twice a week for 30 min and averages about 1 1/2 miles. He was asked to participate with 4 other elementary schools in a 1 1/2 mile race. Out of over 20 kindergarten boys, Jack placed 3rd! He didn't really understand why this was such a big deal. HUMBLE, is his middle name! We also started Flag Football at the beginning of January. Jack has scored 2 touchdowns, and has pulled quite a few flags. His speed has increased so much this season, thanks to the conditioning from running club.
There are two very proud parents that live in this house! XOXOXOXOXO
