Kate Turns 2!!

May 22, 2009 Matt and I welcomed Kate Elizabeth Smith. We had no idea what we were in for. Kate "Katiebug" has evolved into a fun loving, charming, sweet, adventurous, smart, sneaky, and spunky little 2 year old!! Her vocabulary amazes us every day. It would take me quite a long time to write down all of the words and phrases she knows. She loves to dance, sing, play with her babies, play outside, read books, and color etc..

My mom joined us this weekend and we had a grand ol' time celebrating little Miss Kate's birthday. We started the morning out at "The Hanger" diner at the Chandler Airport. Since Kate is fascinated with airplanes, we thought it would be a fun way to start the day. We enjoyed our pancakes and eggs outside watching the planes take off.

Then we headed to Tempe Beach Park Splash Pad for a little fun in the sun!! Kate was not shy AT ALL! She got right in there and started splashing and running around. Her little giggle is contagious!

We were exhausted by noon, and came home for a quick nap. And then the grand finale..... Disney Princess ATV!! Yes, this was daddy's idea and it was a hit! It took her all of 5 minutes to figure out how to operate her new "ride". Jack pulled up on his ATV and off they went.
